Re: Proposed UC Electronic Communications Policy Draft
Dear Professor Kleingartner:
Enclosed for the AITB's consideration is a draft of the
proposed UC
Electronic Communications Policy now undergoing University-wide
administrative review. Building on the principles established by the 1998
UC Email Policy, the Electronic Communications Policy embraces electronic
communications as a whole, from email and web pages to
telephones calls and videoconferencing. It has been under development for
many months by the Office of the President and a University-wide Task
Force of Academic Senate members and campus administrators.
An electronic version of the draft policy, together with
the letter of transmittal from UC Senior Vice President Wayne Kennedy, may
be found at:
http://www.ucop.edu/ucophome/policies/ec/
After reviewing the document, please send any comments
you may have to me by Friday, November 12, 1999 for inclusion in the
formal campus response from UCLA to the UC Office of the President. I can
be reached by email at kent@ucla.edu or by campus mail at 5308 MSA, campus
zip 155705.
Please note that the UCLA Academic Senate is being asked
to provide its comments separately to the UC Academic Council.
Sincerely,
Kent Wada
